From zero email system to a fully automated lead qualification machine in 2 weeks

Bunmi Adeeko Collins of StickyNote Creative had no functioning email marketing and no structured way to qualify the leads coming through her door. A year after a full website redesign, she needed the systems behind the scenes to match.

I built a lead generation quiz, freebie delivery system, and complete email automation architecture - giving Bunmi a hands-off way to segment her audience, educate prospects on what what they need, and nurture leads from first click to sales call.

Bunmi’s graphic design studio specializes in publication design, marketing collateral, fundraising materials, and brand identity for nonprofits and higher education institutions.

She's brilliant at what she does and her clients know it - but every lead that came her way arrived at a different stage of qualification, budget, and readiness. Some knew exactly what they needed. Others had no idea where to start.

And Bunmi was spinning her wheels, stuck sorting them out, educating them, and finally getting them ready to start work together.

The Before: a lead generation ideas mental block

Bunmi knew what she needed but couldn't get there alone

Bunmi had already identified that a quiz was the right lead generation strategy for her business. She'd started building one on her own - but hit a wall fast.

  • The scoring rules she'd configured weren't producing accurate results

  • She had draft email copy written but no email marketing system set up

  • She had an existing freebie (Ready, Set, Report) sitting without a landing page, delivery automation, or follow-up sequence attached to it.

Even as a graphic designer, she had a mental block around designing and organizing her own quiz. She'd tried once, got overwhelmed by the moving parts, and shelved it.

The pieces existed in fragments - draft copy here, a half-configured quiz there, a freebie with nowhere to live - but nothing was connected, and none of it was working.

My Solution: a quiz lead magnet connected to a complete email ecosystem

This wasn't a matter of setting up a few emails and calling it a day. I built an interconnected system where every entry point - the quiz, the freebie, future lead magnets - feeds into the same architecture cleanly.

  • The quiz qualifies leads.

And Bunmi can see exactly what's happening at every stage without needing to dig through dashboards or guess.

I built an outcome-based quiz, giving Bunmi control over which result takes priority. This also made the whole system easier to connect to email automations downstream - each outcome maps cleanly to a specific results email and nurture path.

Automated Email System

I built the complete email infrastructure to be personal yet hands-off:

  • Typeform-to-Kit integration

  • a universal welcome sequence

  • and a nurture sequence.

Every automation is linked to a tagging system so Bunmi can see exactly where any subscriber is in the journey - and where something broke, if it did.

This turns email from a black box into something she can actually troubleshoot and easily manage herself.

Lead Magnet Email Sequence

Each quiz outcome gets its own results email.

Beyond that, I created a 3-email freebie delivery sequence (including a bonus email to build sender reputation), a 2-email welcome sequence, and a 4-email nurture sequence.

I restructured Bunmi's draft copy for skimmability - breaking up long blocks with headlines, adding buttons where people expect clickable links, and optimizing every email for conversion.

Email Templates & Landing Pages

I designed reusable newsletter, promo, and results email templates with consistent branding. These give Bunmi a professional starting point every time she sends, instead of building from scratch.

Then I created dedicated landing pages for the quiz and the bonus PDF freebie, plus thank-you and confirmation pages.

These pages frame the value before visitors commit, which improves conversion and sets expectations for what they'll get.
