Your website doesn’t need a website maintenance plan.

The Squarespace platform handles various maintenance aspects all by itself, so you don’t need to worry about routine technical aspects, like updating plugins or security fixes.

However, your website does need eyes on it regularly to ensure that third-party integrations don’t conflict with Squarespace and that everything keeps running smoothly.

And what about when you want to make updates, like changing images or content?

HOW it Works

  • Each month, submit your site request through your dashboard, using the Google Doc Template to send content if necessary.

    Expect a ~4-day turnaround, unless I need to reach out to you for more info.

  • At the beginning of the month, I’ll send an email with a review of all the work that’s been done, including any SEO or code updates I made to keep your site running in tip top shape

  • Join (or not!), Tuesdays at 3:30 pm EST for:

    1. VIP Member Q&A sesh (the 2nd Tuesday of every month)

    2. The Quarterly Workshop (4x per year)

  • Each year, just before your membership anniversary, I’ll reach out for your annual site review to see if you have any specific concerns.

    Your site review will be delivered one month later. I’ll give you practical changes to implement in a presentation with a video walkthrough:

    • major SEO/analytics improvements

    • minor items we can adjust on your site as part of monthly updates

  • The VIP Client Membership is billed at $175/month. The plan requires a 3-month initial commitment; after that, it can be cancelled at any time.

  • The key is that it must be something that takes less than 30 minutes to complete and can be done without creating new design elements. Your dashboard will have a walkthrough to find out the update you need, and even have a pre-made Google Doc template to make content collection easy!

    Common ways that members use the membership are:

    • Site support (code updates, etc)

    • Add a new portfolio item

    • Update a section of text content

    • Link updates

    • Content Removal

    • Updates to Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, TOC

    • New Podcast excerpt

    • New event info

    • New team member

    • Update Image/Video

    • New service, email, calendar, etc in Scheduling

    • 301 redirects or broken link fixing

    • New testimonial(s)

    • New Blog Post (does not include content copywriting, that is offered as a separate service)

    • Adding additional pages or restructuring the site / design. However, this can certainly be done in a VIP Design Day (only available for clients).

    • Writing blog posts and sourcing images. Any blogs posted will feature only text and images that you have provided. However, if you’d like to include ongoing blog content creation, let’s chat! This is an additional service that SmallBiz Sidekick does provide.

    • Providing / creating strategy. However, you can book a Scouting Session at 15% off!

  • If something you need is outside the scope of the membership, like adding a new page, I’ll provide a quote.

    Members have one 1/2 VIP Design Day per year to use however they’d like; and receive 15% off additional a la carte services.

  • I have an easy-to-follow, step-by-step walkthrough that’s accessible right from your dashboard to gather all of the info i need to keep your site up-to-date. There is even a Google Doc Template to gather any needed content.

    The membership is designed to make your life easier, not harder.

  • Most small updates have a ~4-day turnaround when submitted through the Client Dashboard, as long as I have all content required.

    At the beginning of each month, I’ll send you an email with:

    • what has been done the previous month,

    • SEO updates that I handled,

    • & any out of office dates coming up in the coming months.

    You’ll also receive email reminders for all of our optional Zoom calls & workshops; and a check-in for your annual site review.

  • All plans are auto-drafted monthly on the 25th of the month to your credit card on file.

  • Since I keep my schedule clear for you every month, the monthly updates do not roll over.

  • Of course! The VIP Client Membership requires a 3-month commitment upon initial signup, and after that you can cancel at any point from within the dashboard.

    Cancellations will not apply to any invoices already issued.
